Earl Clifford Jennings, 85, died on Tuesday, Oct. 25th at 4:37 p.m. He died peacefully and quietly. This brilliant musician (champion fiddler player), engineer "should-have-been," and Extra class ham radio operator (K6AZL/K5JE) had been slowed down by vascular dementia in his last years. He also had T2 diabetes but that did not stop him from continuing to win fiddle contests, climb trees to install antennas and modifying any gadget that did not suit him. Only in his last year of life was he forced to slow down.

He was born 6/12/31 on Tucker Knob, near Kinta, OK to Charlie Jennings & Gladys Shelton. He started playing the fiddle at age 8 on his grandpa's fiddle. The family moved to California where Earl graduated high school. After being in the USN, and while in Business & Radio College in Port Arthur, TX, Earl met Jean Lindsey, the prettiest little Texas wildflower he had ever seen! They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Aug. 17th.

He leaves behind his wife, Jean, and their daughters Jeri (Dean) Mills, Beverly Jennings and Donna (Greg Kuhnke) Jennings. Grandchildren are Melinda (Lee) Solis, Sarah Todd, Troy (Heather) Farrell, and Tim (Jenny) Farrell. Great-grandchildren are Alex Solis, Zane and Leo Farrell (Tim/Jenny) and Abigail, Paul and Matthew (Troy/Heather) Farrell. He is also survived by a brother Harold Lloyd Jennings of Stockton, CA. and a sister, Dolores Jennings Fisher, of Quinton, OK and a The family would like to thank CURA Hospice for their wonderful care. Mary Hayes, RN, was especially reverent and tender with Dad. Aimee Pickett, Dad's caregiver and our friend, was sent by God to help Dad daily see the loving hands of one who follows Jesus. Dad lived his life his way yet we have hope to see him one day in Heaven. We love you Dad, and we will miss you here on earth. John 16:22.

An informal Memorial Service will be held Sunday, Oct. 30th, from 3-4 pm at First Church, Owasso, 10100 No. Garnett Road. All are welcome to share memories.
