Eleanor Hannah Crowell Alberts, age 100, of Lombard, passed away, September 24, 2020.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Herbert; loving mother of the late Sharon C.; fond aunt of Bert (Maria) Hamilton of Pingree Grove; great-aunt of Allen S. Hamilton of Idaho, Bryce Williamson of Pingree Grove and Sharice Hamilton of Florida; and sister of the late Florence V. Hamilton.

Eleanor attended Northwestern University where she received her B.A. in 1941. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She also was a member of the League of Women Voters at Northwestern University.

Eleanor worked with the Dekalb Extension Division at Northern Illinois University for Special Education in 1959.

Eleanor was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lombard Chapter #918, where she served as Worthy Matron in 1964. She was a member of the Log Cabin Association and was a minuteman for the log cabin. Eleanor served on the Bicentennial Commission. She was a member of the Maple Street Chapel Preservation Committee at the First Church of Lombard.
