Keven Daniel Hall Blankenship

May 14th, 1989 – September 20, 2020

Keven was born to Marva "Marvelous" Hall and Ernie "Dirt" Blankenship. Keven grew up in Southern Utah in Saint George also known as the Florida of Utah. He couldn't wait to get out of that town where he thrived in Salt Lake City. He discovered his talent of painting cars and being the best who ever lived at anything he did for work. He shared his love of football and the Philadelphia Eagles with anyone who would listen. He was so dedicated to his team, he decided to tattoo the Eagles logo on his hand to show everyone….and on his car… and his clothes…basically everywhere. Keven was the champion of the Madden football video game series. Some of his other interests included Viking culture, Antiques Roadshow, reality competition shows, and music. Keven was a music guru and was an expert at all genres. His favorite was metal and 90's gangsta rap and he had a great appreciation of classical music.

Keven was a very rough intimidating presence, but in actuality was really caring to all those who knew him. He constantly did his best to lift the spirits of all those around him and was part of so many families in his short time on this Earth. Keven helped raise the kids of many and was considered a favorite Uncle. Keven always wanted to be a Father. In so many ways he was like a Father by being a role model and an exceptional caretaker. Keven never hesitated to help someone in need and stood up to so many bullies his entire life for those who could not. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor (clown shoes, shenanigans and chicanery) and his slick dance move, The Buffer.

Growing up, Keven was a warrior getting open heart surgery at the young age of 3. At the time it was a breakthrough procedure for someone so young. He really enjoyed rollerblading and hanging out with his motley crew of friends, David, Emery, and Clint. He was a proud graduate of Pine View High School Class of 2007.

Keven passed away suddenly in his sleep. His passing will leave a great void in so many lives. He will be survived by his Father; Ernie Blankenship, his Mother; Marva Hall Nielson, his siblings; Dean Olson, Ryan Hall, Serena Cox, Buddy Plummer, Kelyla Blankenship, Jessica Riggles, Chris Blankenship, & Daniel Keil. Grandmother; Marilea Hall, Aunt; Regina Ivie, Uncles; Roger Ivie, Jamie Cox, Gordon Hall and many nieces and nephews. Also, his fluffy dog, Ragnar (I'm not getting haunted for not mentioning his dog).

He is preceded in death by Tory Layne Hall (cousin), LaVar Hall (grandpa), Dennis Kautsky (father figure), and many other loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the house of Ellis Gross, one of Keven's best friends, in West Valley City, Utah.
