Engraving on the cemetery stone;
"John Owens and wife Nancy deeded this corner acre of thier land to Clearfield as a burial ground in 1823.
Among the veterans resting here are three Revolutionary War Soldiers; Alexander Read 1826, Clearfield's first postmaster, James Ardery 1814, John Owens 1839
