Bobby T. Moon, age 64, died suddenly at his residence in Buford, Gwinnett County, Georgia early Tuesday morning, September 4, 2007.
He was a native of Jeff Davis County and had lived in Bacon County since 1969. Bobby was son of the late Samuel Tribble Moon and Bertie Adrian Overstreet Moon.
He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the Viet Nam War while serving in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Clark Williams Moon of Buford. One son, Ben Moon of Alma, two daughters, Amanda Boatright and husband Bo, Marlana Hilton and husband Marty. Two step-sons, Mark and Ron Williams of Buford. Three brothers, Sam Moon of Alma, Benjamin D. and James E. Moon of Uvalda, Georgia. Four sisters, Carolyn Moon and Betty Hartless both of Jacksonville, Florida, Mary Joann Ford and Linda Nell Pritchett both of Hazlehurst. Also six grandchildren and three step grandchildren survive.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 7, 2007 at New Vision Church with Reverend Pet Hayes officiating. Interment followed in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery on Highway 203.
Active pallbearers were Doug Anderson, Joe, Tim, Keith, Kyle and Shaun Moon. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary escort.
