Mrs. Janie Meeks Adams, 92, passed away into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 12, 2010. Her loving family and friends miss her smile and genuine love of living, but Heaven's angels rejoice to have God's servant among them. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 am in Pinewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Phillip Boykin. Janie was born on January 2, 1918 to Lester M. and Mary Elvira Mizelle Meeks, the first of twelve children. In 1938, she married Robert 'Russell' Adams and they shared 52 years together, prior to his passing in 1990.
