HENRY M. BRADFORD
Henry M. Bradford, sged 75 years, a former resident of Kirby, this county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Roy A. Fordyce, at North East, Pa., Saturday, September 9, following a stroke of paralysis. Mr Bradford was a
son of James and Anna Stoops Bradford, and was born May 13, 1858. With the exception of the past five years
he had spent his entire life at Kirby. He was united in marriage with Harriett Ellen Gass, October 11, 1883. He is
survived by his wife and three children, Lawrence Bradford, of Marianna; Mrs. Roy A. Fordyce, of North East,
and Mrs. Earle Titus, of Davistown; also one brother, Fordyce D. Bradford, of Kirby. He was a member of the
Kirby Methodist Episcopal church and was very active in the church. He was also a member of the P. O. S. of A.
lodge. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earle Titus, of
Davistown, with further services in the Davistown M. P. church, conducted by Rev. H. E. McNeely, of
Mapletown, assisted by Rev. Snyder, of Mt. Morris, Rev. Hartley, of Pittsburgh, and Rev. Frederick Spielman, of
Kirby. Interment was in the Garards Fort cemetery.
