Samuel W. Gass
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Samuel W. Gass, aged 68, who died Sunday, Dec. 31, 1933, at his home in Whiteley township. Short services at the Gass home were followed by further rites in the Whiteley Chapel church with Rev. G. H. Snyder, of Mt. Morris, in charge. Interment was in the Garrards Fort cemetery.
Mr. Gass was a son of William and Matilda Topin Gass, and followed the blacksmithing trade for many years. He married Katherine Vandruff, who survives. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hartley, of Carnegie, and Mrs. Henry Bradford, of North East, and one brother, Robert Gass, of Elizabeth.
