Mrs. Alice Staggers Gass, 69, of Elizabeth, died Thursday, April 2, 1942, at the home of her son, Edwin, following an illness of several months, according to word received here yesterday by relatives.
She was a daughter of David and Jennie Staggers and spent most of her life in Greene County, having resided in Whiteley and Gilmore Townships. She married Robert Gass.
Mrs. Gass is survived by one son Edwin, with whom she resided; two grandsons, David and Robert Gass, of Elizabeth; two brothers, Randolph, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3, and Ralph Staggers, of Jollytown; and two sisters, Miss Mary L. Staggers and Mrs. Edna S. Baxter, both of Waynesburg, R. D. 3.
Mrs. Gass was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and of the Methodist Church of Elizabeth.
