Jessey worked for many years at Creek Enterprise as foreman until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman that had a passion for fishing. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife, Debbie Ash, he is also survived by seven children, Allen Ash of Iberia, Melissa Ash (Justin) of Crocker, Michael Pendleton (Starla) of Eldon, Virginia Long (Shannon) of Brumley, Kylee Long (Travis) of Iberia, Lucas Heckethorn of Iberia, and Stephanie Ash of Iberia; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Penny Allee (Charles) of Brumley; brother, Lesley Ash (Cindy) of Brumley; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wesley Ash.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Thursday, August 20, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Dennis Nichols officiating.
In accordance with the CDC recommendations facial masks are encouraged for those attending the services.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jessey Ash Memorial Fund.
