Bobbi was one of many stray kittens, born in a barn lot near Kirklin Indiana. As one by one the kittens followed a little girl up to our house, they started living in the partially enclosed back porch. Bobbi fell and became trapped behind an old built in cabinet and had to be rescued. Once brought inside, she never went out again.
She was tiny, born without a tail, and had a quiet voice. She knew when a storm was approaching, and she would hide in a kitchen cabinet until it passed. Her favorite activity was bird watching from the windowsills. She would become mesmerized by the hummingbirds, and enjoyed watching the finches, but she loved the Turtle Doves best, and she talked to them through the glass. She slept each night with one of her loved ones, under the covers if they'd let her. I always let her.
Bobbi had 1 litter of kittens, and she was a wonderful mother. She died of mammary cancer.
She was buried beneath the window she loved, near the bird feeders.
