STONEVILLE – Jeanie Mabe Alley, 80, went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Hospice of Rockingham County.

The funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home with Reverend Rob Haley officiating. Interment will follow in the Ridge-View Cemetery.

Mrs. Alley was born May 13, 1937, in Stokes County, to the late William Linzie and Gertrude Bennett Mabe. Over the years, she was employed with Veneer, Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. and Stoneville Furniture and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. She loved gardening, late night T.V. and her cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryan David Alley; brothers, Alvin and Lewis Mabe.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James David Alley; sons, Jimmy D. Alley (Debbie), James Leon Alley; daughter, Janet A. Barrett (Johnny); brother, Henry Mabe (Linda); sisters, Lorene Stewart, Margie Ziglar (Danny), Sylvia Blankenship; grandchildren, Matthew Barrett, Derek Alley; great-grandchild, Melana Alley; and beloved pets, Baby Gray and Scoots.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 pm, Wednesday at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at the home of Jimmy Alley, 3203 US Hwy 311, Madison, NC.
