Richard Wayne Beams, 88, Greencastle, died on July 18, 2020.
He was born Aug. 6, 1931 to Russell William and Mary Jane (Alexander) Beams.
Richard served in the U.S. Army from February 1952 through January 1954.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 32 years.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen (Smith) Beams and daughter Rita Darlene Beams.
He is survived by daughter Janetta York (husband Larry) of Chalmers and Daniel Beams (wife Brenda) of Greencastle, along with four grand children and three great-grandchildren.
