Roger Adams, 59, of the Beech Creek Community of Robbinsville, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at his residence.
He was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Trent and Elsie Blaylock Adams. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Travis Cole Adams; brothers, Charles Clayton Adams, N.L. Adams; and sister, Alice Wilson.
Roger was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Williams Adams; son and his wife, Tracy and Danielle Adams of Odenville, Ala.; grandchildren, Trent Adams, Brody Dillon and Emma Claire Adams; a son he raised as his own, Michael Delozier of Robbinsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Giles and Wanda Adams of Andrews, Joe and Margaret Adams of Murphy, Gerald Adams of Andrews; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Jim Rogers of Young Harris, Ga., and Marie and Jim Collins of Lawrenceville, Ga.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 31 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiated. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery.
