Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 1990 for Fay Irene Apala at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill with Curtis Hallmark officiating the ceremony. Interment was in Gordonville, TX.

Ms. Apala died April 9, 1990 in Brookside Manor Nursing Home in Madill following six years of failing health.

She was born April 8, 1923 in Willis and was reared in the Willis and Pal area.

In 1942, she relocated to Russett and then to Arlington, TX, returning to the Madill area in 1972.

She was a real estate broker and investor and a member of the Church of Christ in Madill.

She is survived by four daughters, Jackie Palmer of Kingston, Lee Graham of Tishomingo, Annette Allison of Ravia and Melba Apala of Letta, one son, Mike Apala of Tisomingo, two sisters, Gladys Rushing of Lebanon and Nora Scribner of ardmore, 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Tim Palmer, Nick Norrid, Richard Page, Ralph Page, Mark Campbell and Merle Gastineau. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Dan Little, Curtis Hallmark and Stanley Anderson.
