CARLSBAD — Jose Armando Trevino, 49, of Bryan Circle, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at Carlsbad Medical Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, at Carlsbad Family Fellowship with Pastor Rick Ketterling officiating.

Interment will be at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery in Refugio, Texas. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Jose Armando Trevino was born March 6, 1958, to Erbay and Maria (Rangel) Trevino in Refugio, Texas. He graduated from Refugio High School and attended several diesel and mechanic schools.

Joe married Terry Luna on May 19, 1990. He worked at Marathon Oil Company as a field compressor mechanic for many years. Joe most recently worked for Marathon Oil as a plant tester.

He enjoyed being around his family and reading his Bible. Joe cherished his children and grandchildren. He attended church at Carlsbad Family Fellowship. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Oscar Trevino and Luis Trevino.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Terry Trevino, of Carlsbad; eight children: John Trevino of Colorado, Maria Trevino of Carlsbad, Rosa Trevino of Carlsbad, Joey Trevino of Carlsbad, Mia Trevino of Carlsbad, Cristal Trevino of Carlsbad, Jennifer Armendarez and husband Jason of Carlsbad, and Brenda Licon of Carlsbad; two stepsons: Herman Luna Jr. of Ontario, Calif., and Tomas Carrillo and wife, Lisa of San Bernardino, Calif.; two stepdaughters: Monica Carrillo of Adelanto, Calif., and Raquel Canfield and husband, Mark of Utah; foster daughter Kaitlyn Bunn; four sisters: Vicki Pham and husband, Doug of Corpus Christi, Texas, Norma Trevino of Corpus Christi, Texas, Diana Trujillo and husband, Paul of Victoria, Texas, and Terry Trevino of Corpus Christi, Texas ; three brothers: Hector Trevino of Victoria, Texas, Sergio Trevino of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Alfred Trevino of Victoria, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Sergio Trevino, Hector Trevino, Paul Trujillo, Alfred Trevino, Dong Pham and Mike Garcia. Honorary pallbearers are John Trevino, Jose Armendarez, Joey Trevino, Herman Luna Jr., Jason Armendarez, Tomas Carrillo, Derek Trevino, Fabian Garcia and Jose Garcia.
