Marjorie Jane Frazier, age 77, of Kissimmee, FL and formerly of Rushville, IN and Portland, IN, passed away Tuesday, July 14th after an extended illness. She was born one of four children on January 10, 1943 in Celina, OH to Lester "Happy Jack" Bricker and Myrtle Knittle Bricker. She was a graduate of Portland High School.

In her early years, she served as a Sunday School teacher, babysitter and cleaned houses for many, many families. She had a lot of children that loved her and called her "Mom". She was later a waitress at the Brown Derby in Indianapolis and a store manager for Potatoes, Etc. In 1986, Margie moved to Kissimmee, FL, where she began working for Walt Disney World. 19 years later, Mickey and Minnie allowed her to retire.

Margie had 2 wonderful sons, whom she adored. Left to cherish her memory are those sons Robert Steed of Shirley, IN and Fred Steed (wife Pam) of Milroy, IN, and one brother, Fred (wife Patricia) of Portland, IN. She had one grandson, Jonathon Steed of Milroy, IN, and 2 step-granddaughters, Tiffany (husband Jeff) Alford of Ladoga, IN and Kandace McKenna of New Ross, IN who will miss her very much. She also leaves behind 9 step-grandchildren.

Those meeting her at Heaven's gate are her parents, Lester and Myrtle, her two sisters, Jackie Petschke and Judy Weagant and a great niece, Chasity Weagant. I'm sure there are many others who will be there to rejoice her arrival and welcome her with open arms. Services will be held at pm on Saturday, July 25th at Baird Freeman Funeral Home in Portland, IN with the minister Darryl Cooper of Rushville, IN officiating. Friends and family may call from 10am-2pm at the funeral home. Marjorie wished to be cremated so a burial at Salamonia Cemetery will be planned for a later date.

Please make any donations to Operation Smile, an organization she was very fond of, the American Lung Association or to the church of your choice.
