Roy M. Lee, 71, of Lee Avenue, Leitchfield, died Thursday, April 7, 1983 at the Grayson County Hospital. / Mr. Lee was a 1929 graduate of Leitchfield High School. He received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky. After receiving his degree, he returned home to Grayson County and went into business with his father, J.C. Lee, forming Lee's Dairy. They were later joined in business by his brother, Howard, and the three developed Lee's Dairy into a large enterprise. / Mr. Lee was greatly dedicated to his community having served as a member of the school board and hospital board, and as a director of the Leitchfield-Grayson County Industrial and Development Foundation. / He was a member of the Leitchfield United Methodist Church and a retired Army Major having served during World War II. / He is survived by his wife, the former Sarah Hagan; one daughter, Mrs. Joyce Godfrey, of Elizabethtown and one son, Dr. Joe M. Lee, of Leitchfield. / Two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Bratcher and Mrs. Eleanor Kinser, one brother, Howard F. Lee, all of Leitchfield, and eight grandchildren also survive. / Funeral services were held Saturday, April 9, at the Leitchfield United Methodist Church. Bro. Fred Whitmore officiating, with burial in the Fairview Cemetery.
