Clara M. Eaker - Homemaker, survived by three children - SLIGO - Clara M. Eaker, 86, of RD1 Sligo, died at 12:50 a.m. Monday, May 6, 1996, in Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at RD1 Sligo, following a lengthy illness. Born September 27, 1909, in Monroe Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of John E. and Zula Callen Over. She was married December 3, 1931, to Charles F. Eaker, who died March 22, 1995. Mrs. Eaker was a member of the Mount Zion Lutheran Church near Sligo, the Murphy Grange near Sligo and the Lady Rebekah Lodge of Clarion, formerly of Sligo. She was a homemaker. Surviving are two sons, Thomas Eaker of RD1 Rimersburg and Rene Eaker of RD1 Sligio; a daughter, Carla (Mrs. Edgar) Schladoer of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Eaker also is survived by a brother, Elmer Over of Knox; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Finnefrock of Knox. In addition to his husband and parents, Mrs. Eaker was preceded in death by a son, Charles L. Eaker, and a brother, Merle Over. Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, in the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo. The Rev. Harold O. Jacobson, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion, will officiate. Interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park near Strattanville. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Clarview Memorial Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
