She was born Oct. 9, 1915, in Pawnee Rock to Harry A. and Lena (Schultz) Unruh. She married Waldo F. Brandt June 8, 1941, in Pawnee Rock. He preceded her in death July 15, 1995.
She was a member of Bethel College Mennonite Church in Newton. She lived in Newton from 1947 until moving to Inman in 1995. She helped with Mennonite Central Committee and worked at Et Cetera Shop in Newton.
Survivors include: one son, Darcy L. Brandt of Goshen, Ind.; two daughters, Flauretta Dalke of Buhler and Sharon Oswald of Goshen, Ind.; one brother, Raymond Unruh of Hesston; three sisters, Glenda Franklin and Lorrayne Pankratz, both of Hesston, and Allene Schmidt of Topeka; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services were Saturday at Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton with a memorial service following at Buhler Mennonite Church with Pastor Bob Dalke officiating.
Memorials have been established with Buhler Mennonite Church or Reno County Hospice in care of Buhler Mortuary.
