Robert A. McDermit, 77, of 8300 Ridge Road, Girard, Pa., died Aug. 22, 2007 in Pleasant Ridge Manor West.
Mr. McDermit was born April 17, 1930 in Queens Run, a son of the late George F. and Florence Walizer McDermit.
He was an electrician at Berwick Forge and Fabricating and High and Keister.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are three sons, George E. McDermit of Key West, Jeff Fritts of Lock Haven, and Edward L. McDermit of Erie; three daughters, Carol A. Pearsall of Lock Haven, Karen Randall of Mill Hall and Debra Quiggle of Erie; two brothers, William McDermit of Farrandsville and James McDermit of Queens Run; a sister, Shirley Murphy of Lock Haven; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc.
