Diana Marie Rohlfing, 65, of Beardstown, IL, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
She was born May 13, 1948 in Iowa Falls, IA, the daughter of Junior and Fern Surratt Tarr. She is survived by one daughter, Catina (Erik) Zeidler of Springfield, IL; two grandsons, Brett Nordsiek, II of Hardin, IL and Bradie Lashbrook of Springfield; four sisters, Lori (Rodney) Dickerson of Carthage, IL, Deborah (Gordon) Leake of Jefferson City, MO, Tammy McCullough of Hannibal, MO and Marian (Ron) Smith of Quincy, IL; one brother, John (Joyce) Tarr of California, MO; sister-in-law, Loawanna Leach of Jacksonville; and special friends of support, Marsha Grant of Beardstown and Janet Lauderback.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Erica; one sister, Barbara Garman and one brother, Richard Tarr.
Diana was a 1966 graduate of Quincy High School. She was employed by Pathway Services in Jacksonville for over 15 years and took care of the housekeeping responsibilities for St. Alexius Catholic Rectory in Beardstown and St. Mary's Catholic Rectory in Pittsfield, IL.
Diana was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Beardstown where she was active as a Sunday school teacher for 25 years and Circle 4. She was a former 4-H and Girl Scout Leader in Beardstown, involved in Special Olympics and was a charter member of Jacksonville Grandparents Support Group. Diana favorite hobbies included bowling and quilting.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Beardstown with burial at Fairview Cemetery, near Snicarte. Family will meet friends from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.
