He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. He was self-employed owning L & B Vending Co. in Burr Ridge for 25 years. He was a member of the Bolingbrook Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and a member of the Cooties.
His wife Florence "Babe" (Sprague) passed 12/09;
X-wife, Blanche passed 12/09. Surviving are: son and daughters include Paul Guinand, Peggy (husband Jacob) Eisel and Ann Guinand-Cummings (husband Brian); adopted son Glenn (wife Margaret) Guinand; adopted daughters Pamela (husband James) Dinter and Karen Guinand; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Margaret Guinand.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Bolingbrook-McCauley Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, where a chapel service took place Thursday, Aug. 16.
Interment followed the service at Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien.

Guard for WWII veteran Louis J. Guinand, Jr. (VFW
5917 member) on August 15 at the Bolingbrook-
McCauley funeral chapel. Honor Guard members stood
guard prior to the 8:00 Honor Guard ceremony and
stood Color Guard at the internment the following day
at the Clarendon Hills Cemetery.
Cause of Death: Per death certificate - Cirrhosis of the liver.
AMC never really had relationship with Louis due to parents were divorced in the mid 1960s.
