ASHLAND - Funeral service for W.T. Prickett, 87, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Ashland with Brother David Rozell officiating. Burial will be in Mineral Springs Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Prickett died Sept. 20. He was a veteran of World War II and a dairy farmer. He was active in numerous farming organizations, including the Clay County Cattleman's Association and the Talladega County Exchange. He was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Methodist Church and served on the Board of Directors of the church for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Patterson Prickett; his parents, William F. and Minnie Prickett; and a sister, Mamie Prickett Wheatt.

He is survived by one sister, Lucille Prickett McGhee; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.

Pallbearers will be Ray Brewer, Milam McGhee, Wayne Freeman, Josh Brewer, Grady Sapp and Jimmy Patterson.

Visitation will be Sunday from noon to 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the cemetery funds of Mineral Springs Methodist Church or Bethlehem Methodist Church.

Benefield Funeral Home will direct the service.
