HARRISONBURG, August 7, 1919 –The funeral of Captain L. G. Heneberger, U.S.N., whose death occurred in Washington, following a brief illness was held here yesterday afternoon from the residence of George G. Grattan. Services were conducted by Rev. B. F. Wilson, D.D. Interment was in Woodbine Cemetery. Captain Heneberger graduated from the Medical College at the University of Virginia in 1874, and entered the navy a year later. He has held numerous important posts, being at one time head of the Naval Hospital at Annapolis. He was chief surgeon on the U.S.S. Maine, sunk in the Havana harbor at the beginning of the Spanish-American war.
