Passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Glenn Arbor Hospice residence. Larry was born on August 29, 1933, in Battle Creek, the son of Rex and Mildred (Stein) Payne. He had been a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Lakeview High School in 1951 where he ran varsity track. On April 14, 1956, he was united in marriage to the former Nancy Jo Emerson who survives.
