Maureen was a very popular, highly respected and beloved member of the Buellton, California community for many years.
Maureen, who was affectionately known as Mohini to her friends, spent much of her time in recent years involved in charitable works, and pursuing her lifetime interests in Yoga, world travel, Vision Questing and vegan and live-food cooking.
Mohini is survived by her twin sister, Laura Delaney; mother Mrs. Patricia Novotny of Florida; father and step-mother, John Matthew (Jack) and Wilma Delaney of Colorado; sister, Shaunda Van Wert of Colorado; brothers, Joseph Delaney of Canada; and Stephen Delaney of North Carolina. She is also survived by three nieces and a nephew.
Maureen has many other relatives in Texas, California and Missouri as well as a multitude of friends who will miss her intensely.
A memorial service will be held at the Santa Ynez Mission, 1760 Mission Drive in Solvang on Wednesday, January 14th between 9:00 and 12:00 in the morning.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Miracles in Action (miraclesinaction.org) or the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, in recognition of the superior care Maureen received during her final days, will be appreciated.
