ABDO, Donald Elias Of Murfreesboro, passed away on July 4, 2009.

Born February 11, 1932 in Detroit, MI, son of the late Joseph John Abdo and Susan Arlene Hodge Abdo. Don was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was a 32nd degree Freemason in the Centerline Lodge 550 and a Shriner in High 12 Lodge 577, F & AM.

Everyone who knew Don loved his entrepreneurial spirit and his zest for life. He had a positive influence on Middle Tennessee and the lives of many people.

Don created dozens of businesses and was a visionary innovator with his creation and operation of Family Billiards.

He is survived by his son, Curt; daughter-in-law, Eve; grandsons, Alexander and Zachary; and his sister, Terri Allison and brother, Kenneth Abdo.

Visitation will be at his son's home, 2819 Old Lebanon Dirt Road, Mt. Juliet, on Tuesday, July 7th from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Masonic service will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8th at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Donelson, followed by the Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Father Mark Hunt will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made to the Donald Elias Abdo Scholarship Fund at Regions Bank, 424 North Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129; or Alive Hospice, 1639 Medical Charter Parkway, Suite 202, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. FUADAJZ WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL.
