Mr. Bobby Stuart Beaman, 79, passed away Sunday evening, May 10, 2020, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. A native of Greene County, he was born April 27, 1941, the son of Rom W. Beaman, Jr. and Ruth Nethercutt Beaman. Bobby was a graduate of the Maury High School and a member of Ormondsville OFWB Church. The eldest son of a farm family, Bobby followed in his father’s footsteps farming tobacco and row crops until his retirement a few years ago.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Beaman Muegge.

He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Inez Shackelford Beaman of the home; daughters, Gayle Beaman Mallow and husband, Jim of Hookerton, Bobbi Jo Beaman of Maury and Melissa Beaman of Maury; grandchildren, Erica Pate and husband Justin of Washington, Alex Muegge of Greenville, Travis Muegge and wife Ashleigh of Goldsboro, and Tyler Muegge of Maury; a great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Muegge; sisters, Deborah B. Harper of Snow Hill and Carol B. Windley and husband Larry of Washington; and brothers, Billy Beaman and wife Jennifer of Snow Hill, and Stephen L. Beaman of Wilson. Bobby also leaves his faithful companion and pet, Buddy.

Graveside services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, May 13th, at the Ormondsville OFWB Church Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Don Ribeiro officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the Beaman residence.

Mr. Beaman will lie-in-state at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service on Tuesday from 12 – 5 PM; and Wednesday from 8 AM – 12 PM. Online condolences may be made at www.taylor-tyson.com
