Willie Bell Wilson Donaldson was born according to census records and her children's birth certificates, born in Atlanta, Georgia somewhere between late August 1905 and mid April 1906 to William Henry Wilson (1883-1973) and Alice Mae "Allie" Griffin Wilson. She was their second child after older sister Ella,(spouse and death details still unknown) and then followed by sister Nettie (McElveen-1907-1998) and then brother Robert "Elton." (1909-1965) Both of her parents were from Bulloch County, Georgia and her mother, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, her husband, her children's stepmother and one of her sons as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and inlaws are buried in Lower Lotts Creek Church Cemetery in Bulloch County, Georgia. Willie B. was married in 1925 to John Morgan Donaldson (1901-1972), son of Admiral LaCount Donaldson and Margaret "Maggie" Williams Donaldson. They moved to Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia where they both worked in the cotton mill and lived nearby their jobs in several communities with other co-workers. Their first son, John Morgan Donaldson, Jr. was born March 9, 1926-1993) in Augusta, followed by a daughter named after her mother with a slight variation, Willa Bell "Bell" (Phelps -2011), and then another son, Charles LaCount "Charlie" on May 4, 1929-1998). On August 25, 1931 their 4th child, a daughter, Dorothy Louise was born. On September 17, 1931 Dorothy's birth certificate was amended and she was adopted by the next door neighbor. In this same time frame Willie B. disappeared and was never seen or heard from again. John and the children missed her very much when they lost her but the young family was blessed with a wonderful second wife for John and the most amazing "bonus" mom for the children who raised them as her own in their new hometown, Miami, Florida. RIP Willie B.
