Raymond Zimmer, 93, died Friday in Palm Desert, Calif. He was born Feb. 19, 1906, in Boise, Idaho. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a retired engineer in the air conditioning industry, a 35-year resident of Las Vegas and past president of Refrigeration Service Engineers Society. He is survived by his son, Donald of Henderson; daughter, Shirley Milam of La Quinta, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary-Eastern with graveside services at 10 a.m. in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
