She was 91 years old and left behind a legacy. Irene led a full productive life and was a trendsetter in her time. She was an early proponent for women’s athletics, organizing a girls’ softball team before it was common. She also had a lifelong passion for knitting.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Bert Sr., son Frank, mother Grace Kasper, her brothers Walter, Bobby, George and her sister Barbara.
Irene is survived by her children Roseann (Phil) Edge, Bert Jr. (Paula) Kolbash, Elaine (Kelly) Villastrigo, Patty (Stephen) Turner, Renee (Paul) Dudley, and Maryann (Bob) Spadoni. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws Helen Zembrzuski (Kolbash) and Catherine Kasper.
Irene also leaves behind 25 loving grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends, too numerous to mention, who were like family to her. SERVICES HAVE BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE.
