Bud owned and operated Humm Motors in Harrisburg for 51 years, selling it in 1986. He farmed as a hobby and was a volunteer for the Saline County Historical Society Museum. He was a long time board member of the First National Bank of Harrisburg and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Harrisburg.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Allard) Humm; a daughter, Mary Anne Humm of Belle Vista, Ark.; two granddaughters, Liza Logsdon of Phoenix, Ariz., and Laura Hayes of Nashville, Tenn.; and three great-grandsons, Joseph, William and Andrew Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, John Humm, Frank Humm, Edgar Humm and Hillary Humm; and two sisters, Helena Humm and Bernice Lay.
