(Note: Both his birth certificate and his military-issued footstone give his year of birth as 1897, even though his shared headstone gives 1899. The 1899 date is in error).

Obituary:

Rites for Raymond Dishon, 78, of 805 S. 4th St. who died Tuesday night at Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital after a brief illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Morgan and Fox Funeral Home at Stanford. Hugh Thomas will officiate and burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

The Lincoln County native was retired from Chrysler Motor Corp. in Michigan and was the husband of Mrs Madeline Dishon of Danville. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Church of Christ.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Gertha Long of Wyandotte, Mich., Mrs Grace Jacobs of Georgetown, Ohio and Mrs Leona Douglas of Corbin; two brothers, Vernon Dishon of Crab Orchard Rt. 1 and W. L. Dishon of Covington.
