WAGER, RoseAnne (Ryan) (nee Paquette) April 2, 1935-November 13, 2010 In Atlanta. Deeply missed by husband Rupe; children Kevin, Patrick, Terri, Sheryl, Michael; step children Della, Barbara, Carrie;14 grandchildren; brother Gerry (Betty-Anne), and sister Barry (Ray).

Predeceased by father Harry and mother Sarah, sister Joy and brother Bud (Willa). Missed by many nieces, nephews and families in Ottawa.

Figure skater and coach extraordinaire, RoseAnne ranked sixth in the Senior Ladies Division of the Canadians as an Ottawa Minto Skating Club member where she met and married ice dancing coach Danny Ryan with whom she had five children. Tragically widowed in 1961 following a plane crash over Brussels, which took Danny and the entire U.S. figure skating team en route to the World Championships in Czechoslovakia. Danny will be inducted into the Skating Hall of Fame January 28, 2011. With young children to support, RoseAnne moved to Lake Placid and coached Canadian and US Olympic skating contenders. While there, she married Rupert Wager of Watertown where they moved to in 1970 and was instrumental in establishing its Figure Skating Club. In 1976, she moved to Atlanta where she continued coaching rising ice-skating stars before launching a successful real estate career.
