In 1842 he married Argin Capps in this same county. Argin's mother, Rebecckah and Archibald's mother, Sarah, were sisters.
He and Argin settled here and they had one daughter, Catherine. Archibald and Argin also took in her sister's child, little James Sebree, after his mothers death. James only lived to the age of nine.
I have this great little book on old cemeteries in Clay Co., MO. and under the Little Shoal Graveyard, there is Archibald Adams. He's yours. You don't have this, however, and I suspect it is his tombstone inscription. This cemetery was walked Dec 2, 1948. I'm sure they were more easily readable then. If you'd please add it, this is what it says.
"My husband here lies under ground
The dearest friend I ever found.
But through our Lord's unbounded love
We will meet again in realms above."
Isn't that pretty.
Thank you Joanne Scobee Morgan!
