Mr. Taylor was a retired electrician foreman for Massachusetts Transit Authority and a Mason. He was a member of the Electrical Union and Hancock United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Ella C. Taylor; a son, Harry C. Taylor, Wayland; and a daughter, Mrs. H. Calvin Geer, Augusta.
Memorials may be made to Hancock United Church of Christ or the building fund of First Baptist Church of Augusta.

Former resident Harry S. Taylor died on July 11 in Wayland at the Suburban Manor Nursing Home, Acton. Mr. Taylor leaves his wife, Ella C. (Volmar) Taylor. He also leaves his children, Harry C. Taylor of Wayland and Anita C. Geer of Augusta, Ga. Mr. Taylor was the grandfather of David C. Geer, James F. Geer, Samuel T. Geer and Paul D. Geer.
Mr. Taylor was born in Arlington and lived here until 1969 when he moved to Wayland. He was a retired electrical maintenance foreman for the MBTA. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Arlington, the Hiram Lodge AF and AM of Arlington and American Legion Post 39.
The funeral service will be at Hancock United Church of Christ on Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by Saville Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the church.

WAYLAND - Harry S. Taylor, 84, a resident of Wayland since 1969, died Sunday at Suburban Manor Nursing Home in Acton. Born in Arlington, he was the son of Sidney and Elspeth (Symon) Taylor.
He was a retired foreman of electrical maintenance for what is now the MBTA. He worked for that organization for 40 years before retiring in 1963.
Mr. Taylor leaves his wife, Ella C. (Volmar) Taylor of Wayland; a son, Harry C. Taylor of Wayland; a daughter, Anita C. Geer of Augusta, Ga. and four grandsons.
The funeral service will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hancock United Church of Christ, 1912 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Saville Funeral Service, Arlington.
