Died at the Brunswick Nursing Home. Jerome was born on a farm south of Dalton, the son of George and Pauline (Sleyster) Bucksath. He married Pearletha Guilford in Moberly Park Avenue Church in 1931.
Mr. Bucksath was a graduate of the Brunswick High School class of 1928. He was a farmer all his life, until his retirement. He held many positions and was a lay leader for 27 years for the Dalton Immanuel Methodist Church, and was district lay leader for the Marshall District. He was president of the Brunswick High School Alumni Association, and twice president of the Lions Club and many years president of the Dalton Cemetery Association. He was township chairman for the Agriculture Conservation Commission for 12 years. He was one of the original members of the Dalton Community Center.

Mr. Bucksath is survived by a son Duane and wife Diane of Homer Glen, Illinois, two grandchildren, Mark Bucksath of Libertyville, Illinois; Lisa Eckenstein and her husband John of Homer Glen, Illinois and two great grandchildren Johnny and Emma Eckenstein. He was preceded in death by his wife Pearletha, his parents and two brothers, Henry and Russell.
