Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at noon at Damascus Baptist Church, County Road 38, Hanceville, Alabama for Mr. Lester Windfield Phillips, 82, of Hanceville. Burial will be private.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Phillips went home to be with the Lord October 9, 2019 at Cullman Regional Hospital. He was born March 24, 1937 to Hardy and Martha Ball Phillips. He was a devout Christian and was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, his church and his family. He was known for his saying, “Blessed by the Best; Too blessed to be stressed!”
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Lester Phillips, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Ethelene ‘Lynn’ Phillips; daughters, Donna (Jeff) Rigsby, Debi (Hall) Zahrend; four brothers, six sisters; five grandchildren; special nephews, Leonard Riggins, Kenny Parson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
