Lilbern Lynn Abner, 84 passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital. Lynn attended Rock Creek High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Lynn was a self-taught musician who spent his entire life playing music and had performed as a bass guitarist with various bands. He worked as a telephone lineman for 30 years for Alltel and had also worked for Audiences Unlimited.

Lynn was born on January 22, 1936 in Grape, Kentucky, the son of Luther and Nettie (Morrow) Abner.

He was united in marriage to Martha Burnau in 1958 in Huntington. Martha preceded him in death on August 14, 1999.

Survivors include two daughters: Janie Abner of Markle; Beth (Paul) Dimond of Markle; a son: Jamie Abner of Tocsin; a sister: Bonnie Henrich of Armona, CA; a companion: Laura Homan of Angola; two grandsons: Shay Abner and Spencer Abner both of Markle.

He was preceded in death by three sisters: Mossie Crispin, Margie Monhollen, Bessie Henthorn and three brothers: Gene Abner, Ray Abner and Joe Abner.

Visitation is now closed to the public due to the Corona Virus Pandemic.

A private family graveside service will be at the Horeb Cemetery.
