Francis R. Banks died Monday morning at his home, 420 Columbia Street, from a complication of diseases. He had been sick for a long period. The deceased was about 80 years old and served in the 135th Indiana Infantry during the civil war. He has no known relatives and had resided in Lafayette many years.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon. Burial in Greenbush cemetery.
