Robert E. Baker of Williamstown, KY. passed away Friday, February 28 at the University of Kentucky Hospice Center in Lexington, KY. at the age of 79. Mr. Baker was born February 26, 1941 in Spring Lake, KY. to the late Rueben L. Baker and Minnie Leger Baker. Mr. Baker was a retired machinist foreman for Cincinnati Tag and Supply. He was a veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. In his free time Mr. Baker enjoyed fishing, horses, traveling, whittling with wood, rock painting and drawing.
Mr. Baker was united in marriage on December 9, 1961 to Diane Locklair Baker and he is survived by his wife of 58 years. He is also survived by a daughter: Tammy Miller and her husband Jerry of Williamstown, KY., 3 sons: Robert Baker, Jr. and his wife Dottie of Union, KY., Gregory W. Baker and his wife Dorothy of Williamstown, KY., Timothy S. Baker of Northport, FL., he has 6 grandchildren: Justin (Colleen) Miller of Bath, ME., Jessica (Kevin) Case of Richmond, KY., Corey R. Baker of Union, KY., Casey A. Wager (Andy) of Lexington, KY., Travis Baker of Dry Ridge, KY., Jarrod Baker of Burlington, KY., and one little great grandson, Elijah G. Case, age 2, of Richmond, KY. who has brought much enjoyment to the Baker Family. The family would also want to remember a close friend of Mr. Baker's, Gregory Adams. All of the Baker Family will miss Robert E. Baker terribly.
There will be no visitation and services will be at the convenience of the family. The Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home of Williamstown, KY. has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. Robert E. Baker.
