She was the daughter of John A. and Mary (Francis) Goethe and graduated from Janesville High School in 1935. She first married Gerald Leon Endl on January 11, 1941 in Janesville, Wisconsin. He was killed in World War ll at New Guinea on July 11, 1944. SSgt. Endl's Medal of Congressional Medal of Honor was awarded posthumously and accredited to Janesville, Wisconsin. She later married Leonard O. Kirchoff on September 16, 1950. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1994. Rhee was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and had attended St. Mary's Grade School. She worked for Parker Pen for 42 years until retiring in April, 1979. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Ruth Kirchoff of Tucson, Arizona; 6 nieces: Jane Sowles, Mary Welch, Donna Bernard, Susan Fern, Joanna Schudda, Susan Kirchoff Hochuli; and 3 nephews: Charles Goethe, Robert Karberg, and David Kirchoff. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sister, Frances (Fred) Karberg; 2 brothers, John F. (Carol) Goethe and Lawrence (Kathryn) Goethe; and nephew, Lyle Goethe.
