Wayne was born Jan. 24, 1960, in Warren, the son of Dennis David Ayers and Wilma Florence Johnson.
He attended Niles High School.
He served his country in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed at Fort Sill, Okla.
Wayne was a tractor trailer truck driver for Pitt-Ohio on their local routes.
He enjoyed operating and collecting remote control cars, drones and Ham radios. Wayne appreciated the outdoors, hiking and spending time at camp along the Clarion River.
His wife, the former Nancy Elaine Marenchin, whom he married Sept. 14, 2002, survives at home.
Along with his wife, Wayne is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Palmer of West Middlesex and Sherry (Chris) Carter of Hermitage, Pa.; and two grandsons, John Wesley Adams and Ryan Palmer. Also surviving are his sister, Sandy (Tom) Tomko of Howland; and six brothers, Richard (Shirley) Ayers of Niles, Bobby (Debbie) Ayers of Niles, Dennis Ayers of Warren, Jeff Ayers of Warren, George (Mandy) Ayers of Niles and John (Tami) Ayers of Erie, Pa.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016, in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 1090 E. State St., Sharon, PA 16146. Services are 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lamech Marsh, youth pastor of Girard Alliance Church, Girard, officiating.
