Obituary
Charles Alger, 79, beloved Husband and Father, was called to his eternal resting place on January 12, 2020. He entered this world on November 23, 1940, in Union City, OK, to Roy and Edith Alger.

Charles enjoyed the outdoors with his family. Having land at Eufaula for a couple summers, he and his family made memories fishing and camping. He traveled to many places throughout this life. In the Navy, he experienced many countries and cultures. When he retired, Charles and Billie traveled the US from Pennsylvania to California. Charles also enjoyed being creative with various types of wood: ranging from intricate detailed clocks to furniture.

Charles wife Billie is very fond of the time they spent together visiting California's Red Wood Forest. His grandchildren remember Papa always having a cup of coffee in his hand and playing with them. The grandchildren also remember Grandma and Grandpa attending their special events with band and various school activities.

Charles loved his Lord and Savior, and loved to sing and praise Him. His family and his dog Opie have been a very important part of his life. His achievements in his life have been within his career as a Diesel Mechanic with Roadway, a Gunnerman in the Navy, and his wedding day with his wife Billie. Becoming a father and grandfather has also been a proud accomplishment in his life. Charles was very quiet and kept to himself. He was a very humble man when it came to his beautiful wood work creations.

Charles is preceded in death by his father Roy, and mother Edith, brother Roy Jr., and sister Lena Pittman.

He is survived by his wife Billie Jo Alger; two daughters Lorinda Rose Wright and husband Craig, and Kristina Noel Garcia and husband Nathan; four stepchildren, Jimmy Hickerson, Debbie King and husband David, Mickey Hickerson and wife Christy, and Kim Andrade and husband James; nineteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol Stine, and Debbie Obleness and husband Tony.
