James Michael Johnson, age 63 passed away 12-28-19 at the home of his sister. He was the son of the late James Miron Johnson and Dorothy Dusenbury Johnson.
He was predeceased by his parents and all his grandparents, many aunts and uncles and a sister, Becky Johnson.
He is survived by a sister, Shirley Johnson Richardson(Rafael), a niece, Meredith Jordan, 2 nephews (Forrest and Ethan) and many cousins.
He was a member of North Conway Baptist Church
Memorial services will be on Sunday, January 5 at 3:00 at the church. Visitation will be following the service.

Note from friend: Michael was very dedicated to researching his family history and preserving information found in cemeteries (burial stones) by photographing the stones, deciphering inscriptions, and linking memorials showing parents, siblings, children. He was the quietest person I've ever known, but his knowledge of Horry County was huge. He accompanied me many times as we surveyed historic cemeteries in Horry County. He knew the roads, directions. He was a consistent friend.
