Agnes M. Adams September 20, 2019 Agnes M. Adams, 89, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Agnes retired from the VA Hospital Canteen Services, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for 30 years. She was a lifetime member of the Valley VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Agnes was an avid cook and baker and a two time NYS Fair Culinary Grand Champion. She also entered award winning rugs and ceramics in the NYS Fair. Agnes was a dedicated NY Yankees fan and celebrated the Yankees clinching the American League East Pennant the evening before she passed. Agnes was predeceased by her husband, Frankie Adams, in 2013. She is survived by her son, J C Owens (Myra Kay); daughters Dorothy Hilbert (Bruce), Winifred Owens and Alexis Mitchell (Erik). Agnes was grandmother to six grandchildren and the original GGMom to seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. We pray she and Frankie are enjoying their reunion.
