William "Grant" Adkins, age 8, died at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. Grant Adkins ended his long battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma on Thursday morning. He was a brave little boy who faced his illness with the strength of a lion and the gentleness of a lamb.

Grant was a member of Manassas Baptist Church, he attended Phillip Michael Pennington School in Manassas and was on the Urbanna Swim Team, Manassas. He also played soccer and T-Ball with the Manassas Baptist Church sports ministries.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Charlotte Caudill Dickerson. Survivors include his parents, one brother, two sisters, maternal grandfather, paternal grandparents, and his maternal great-grandmother.
