Doris H. Brecht of Cheltenham, Pennsylvania died Sunday, December 1, 2019 at her home. She was 82 years old. Doris was born January 7, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Albert Cubit Maul and the late Helen Bertha Maul (nee - Kerr). She is the beloved mother of Linda Acker and her husband Jim and Carol Brecht; sister of Lois O’Neil and Bruce Maul and his wife Claudia.

Doris was a supporter of and wrote newsletters for the Delaware River Power Squadron a unit of United States Power Squadrons for Sail and Power Boating. She was a longtime member of Melrose Carmel Presbyterian Church until its closure when she joined Elkins Park Presbyterian Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Relatives and friends are also invited to her visitation Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Elkins Park Presbyterian Church, 234 Cedar Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027. Her graveside service will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053.

Religious services will be conducted by Rev. Cynthia Betz-Bogoly, pastor of Elkins Park Presbyterian Church, 234 Cedar Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027.
