William Rogers married Lydia Eustis on April 22, 1925 at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama. They had two children; William "Wayne" McMillan Rogers, III and Loula Rogers. His son, Wayne Rogers, would go on to a career in acting, most famous for his role as Trapper John in the television series M*A*S*H.
